Multiple Vehicle Burglaries and Vehicle Theft Solved

Robertson County, TN (July 20th, 2021) – An investigation by the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of Lazarus Hibbett (DOB 3/2/1995) in relation to several vehicle burglaries and vehicle theft on Greenwood Road and Yates Cave Road.

On July 13th, 2021, the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office investigated reports of multiple vehicle burglaries and vehicle theft on Greenwood Rd and Yates Cave Rd. During the investigation, information was received that identified Lazarus Hibbett as the suspect, and also linked him to shoplifting from Terry’s Market. Lazarus was located and apprehended in Resaca, Georgia while driving the stolen vehicle from Robertson County. To date, Lazarus is charged with ten (10) separate crimes in Robertson County, and the Sheriff’s Office has been able to close three (3) theft and burglary cases. Lazarus Hibbett is currently being held on charges in Resaca, Georgia. Once his charges are completed there, he will be brought back and charged with the below in Robertson County.

“This was great teamwork between our Deputies and Detectives. They worked together to not only investigate a current crime but also solve several other crimes in the process,” stated Sheriff Michael Van Dyke.
