Major Scott Jones, Field Operations Commander

Major Scott Jones began his career at the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office in May of 1993. He has worked in the Divisions of Corrections, Patrol, Crime Suppression, SWAT, Narcotics, and Criminal Investigations. He has served as a Sergeant in the Patrol Division and in 2002 he was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division as a detective. In 2010, Major Jones was promoted to Sergeant of Detectives and in 2014 was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant serving as the Criminal Investigations Division Commander. Major Scott Jones is the agencies Polygraph Examiner and currently serves as the Vice-President of the Tennessee Polygraph Association. He graduated from Springfield High School and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Volunteer State Community College where he holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Major Jones is also a graduate of Leadership Robertson County. He has extensive training & certifications of various law enforcement related topics, which includes law enforcement command level management through the University of Tennessee.

Major Jones is responsible for all Enforcement, Special Operations and Juvenile Services at the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office. He manages the following programs and divisions:
