Springfield, TN (September 29th, 2020, approximately 1:00pm) The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the homicide of Sherry Green (62 years old) and Joseph Matthew Green (74 years old), and the suicide of Joseph Scott Green (51 years old) at a residence on Green Rd in Springfield, TN.
The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office initially responded to a possible gunshot wound call at a residence on Green Rd. in Springfield, TN. Upon arrival, investigators found the suspect, Joseph Scott Green in the back yard deceased with a firearm nearby, and the deceased victims Sherry Green (step mother) and Joseph Matthew Green (father) in the home with gunshot wounds. Investigators found evidence and a note indicating that the family had been having recent domestic family issues leading up to the homicide and suicide. This continues to be an on-going investigation.
