Cedar Hill, TN (February 15, 2019, approximately 4:20pm) – The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a home explosion on Buzzard Creek Rd involving a female named Brittany Elliott (34 years old), and two children ages 6 years old and 4 years old. All three individuals were transported to Vanderbilt Hospital and are in stable condition.
The investigation determined that around 12pm today, Brittany Elliott turned on the gas in order to heat the house. Elliott stated that she does not have a sense of smell, and was unable to smell the gas in the house. At around 4:20pm, Elliott attempted to light the water heater in the basement when the explosion happened while the children were upstairs. The explosion has been ruled an accident.
