Springfield, TN, August 23, 2018–On August 19th, 2018, a deputy with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office was conducting a business check at the Robertson County Maintenance Building located on Highway 41 south in Springfield, TN. While the deputy was checking the premises, he noticed a lock and chain to the drive thru security gate had been cut off and were laying on the ground. It was found that a truck on the property had a window broken and a utility van and tandem axle trailer were stolen from the property.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office were able to name Charles Ray Blakeman (w/m, 32 years old) of Lebanon, TN as the suspect in this case. Both the stolen van and trailer have been recovered and Charles Blakeman was arrested and booked into the Robertson County Detention Facility on August 21st. Charles Blakeman was charged with Theft of Property (over $2,500.00), Burglary of an Automobile, and Criminal Trespassing. Bond is currently set at $34,500.00.
