May 15, 2013

The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office would like to announce that child passenger safety seat inspections and parent training will be offered Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00am-6:00pm with a scheduled appointment. Please call the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office at (615) 384-7971 and request either Lt. Wayne Schoenheit or Deputy Jacob Ryan for this service. Deputies will schedule an appointment which will require at least (30) minutes for inspection of the chair, recall safety check, removal of the chair with any installation errors explained, re-installation by proper method, and re-installation by the parent to ensure proper understanding of installation procedure. Parents are not required to bring their child at time of inspection but information in relation to age, height, and weight will be needed for proper training. If there are any questions, please call the numbers listed above.

Robertson County Deputies are certified through the Tennessee Child Passenger Safety Center. The CPS Center is a statewide child passenger safety program funded by the Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office. The CPS Center establishes fitting stations, certifies technicians, conducts seat checks, and spreads the child passenger safety message with safety groups, churches, schools and law enforcement agencies to protect children in our communities.
