Heatherly Wins Training Officer of the Year

Several members of the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office recently attended the Tennessee Corrections Institute’s annual conference in Pigeon Forge, TN. At the conference, employees receive instructor development training as well as study a variety of issues facing the corrections industry. TCI also recognizes outstanding work in the corrections field all across the state. Lieutenant Rita Heatherly, Assistant Jail Administrator for Robertson County, was named Correctional Training Officer of the Year for Tennessee. This is the highest award bestowed on a training officer at the conference. Lt. Heatherly has served in corrections at the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office for over 23 years. As the Training Coordinator, Lt. Heatherly ensures training compliance for the correctional officers each year. The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office is proud to have Rita Heatherly as a member of our family. Her experience and dedication make her an asset to our department, and we are thankful for everything she does.
