Captain Wayne Carlisle, Enforcement Division Commander

Captain Wayne Carlisle is a 28-year law enforcement veteran. He began his career at the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office in January of 2001. Captain Carlisle has worked in the Divisions of Corrections, Patrol, Crime Suppression, Narcotics, and Criminal Investigations. He has served as a Sergeant in the Patrol Division and in 2006 he was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division as a Narcotics Investigator. In 2014, Captain Carlisle was promoted to Sergeant of Detectives and in 2018 was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant serving as the Criminal Investigations Division Commander. Captain Carlisle is one of the agencies firearms instructors as well as instructing in Emergency Vehicle Operations and both Narcotic and Criminal Investigations. He graduated from Greenbrier High School and is a graduate of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s State Academy. Captain Carlisle has extensive training & certifications of various law enforcement related topics, which includes law enforcement management, leadership, and investigations.
