Springfield, TN, February 8, 2018– On Thursday, January 18th, 2018, the local chapter of the National Society for the Sons of the American Revolution awarded Sheriff Bill Holt the Law Enforcement Commendation Medal at their meeting in Greenbrier, TN at the American Legion Post #45.
Chapter President Roger Tenney presented the medal to Sheriff Holt for his outstanding achievement and dedication to the maintenance of law and order. Sheriff Holt’s career in law enforcement has spanned 56 years. Elected in 2010, he is currently serving his second term as Sheriff of Robertson County. Sheriff Holt is also a veteran of the United States Air Force and is a true patriot of American freedoms.
“I am humbled to be recognized by such a patriotic organization,” said Sheriff Bill Holt. “The Lord has blessed me with an outstanding and memorable career, but I have always maintained that it was never about me – the real credit goes to our employees who have dedicated themselves to improving the quality of life in Robertson County.”
