ATTEMPTED BURGLARY SUSPECT CAPTURED

Springfield, TN, September 5, 2017– At approximately 10:30pm on Saturday night, September 2nd, an off duty Springfield Police officer observed what he believed to be an attempted burglary in progress at Douglas and Company on Tom Austin Highway in Springfield. Patrol deputies with the sheriff’s office responded to the area and ultimately located a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle.

After stopping the vehicle, deputies interviewed the driver who admitted to attempting the burglary. William Ragland was subsequently arrested and charged with attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools, and vandalism. He was booked into the Robertson County Detention Facility with a $25,000 bond.
