CORRECTIONAL OFFICER 

(Full-Time)

Description;
Assists with securing and overseeing care and well-being of inmates.
Monitors inmate movement within a facility. Conducts searches of cells, inmates and visitors. Prepares reports and submits appropriate incident and disciplinary write-ups. Supervises inmate work assignments. Oversees feeding inmates. Provides inmate security at hospitals, courts, and other assigned destinations. Assists with inmate processing as needed.
May transport inmates to various locations. Other assigned duties may be required. 

Requirements;

Must be a US citizen, at least 18 years old, be able to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Polygraph Test, Background Investigation, and a Psychological examination.

Must possess a High School Diploma or a state issued General Education Degree (G.E.D.) 

Must also meet other criteria listed in the employment application.
 

Starting Salary:  

$28,454/yr; A benefit package is offered; (Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, State Retirement Plan, along with paid Vacation and Sick Leave) Uniforms & Equipment are provided. 

Work Hours:  Robertson County Detention Center operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Work shift hours are; (0600 to 1400 hrs; 1400 hrs to 2200 hrs; 2200 hrs to 0600 hrs.)  Weekend work is required.
