On
December 15, 2008. The Sheriff’s Office received a report of an home
invasion & robbery that occurred at the home of Alice Tedali located at
4200 Green Road in Robertson County Tennessee. According to victim in
the case, 3 black males made entry to her home at gunpoint took a sum of
cash totaling more than $8000.00. Detectives received information such
and descriptions of suspects and vehicle that they were driving. No
injuries were reported.

On Friday
December 19 , 2008, The Sheriff’s Office received yet another report
of an armed robbery at Herndon’s Market located at Hwy 41-N in Cedar
Hill Tennessee. Officers responded. Deputies found that the robbery was
committed by a black male, and found that the male robbed the store
clerk at gunpoint while customers were present taking an undetermined
amount of cash. No vehicle description was obtained in this robbery.
On
Friday December 26, 2008, The Sheriff’s Office received yet another
report of an armed robbery. This robbery had taken place at Stuard’s
Market located at 7669 Hwy 41-N in Adams Tennessee. During this robbery
2 black males entered the store, one from the back door the other from
the front door. Both black males carried firearms. A sum of cash was
taken as well as the electronic video surveillance equipment from the
store. The robbery suspects escalated in this crime assaulting one of
the employee’s. The suspects fled the store on foot, however witnesses
were able to get the vehicle description and pass it on to the Sheriff’s
Office. The vehicle was described as a newer model ford midsized car
red or maroon in color.
Within
minutes of the Stuard’s Market Robbery, Deputy Jonathan Hayes of the
Robertson County Sheriff’s Office was responding to the robbery headed
north on Kenny’s Road. Deputy Hayes spotted a vehicle described to him
by Central Dispatcher, and he turned to stop the vehicle the car sped
away and turned onto Washington Road where the car stopped. Upon
stopping the car, the driver of the car remained inside the car and two
black males exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Deputy Hayes could see
as they ran that they fit the description of the suspects. The
surrounding area was searched as the case progressed.
The
driver of the car was identified as Kathleen Thompson, a 28 year old
female who resides at 131 Carden Circle in Springfield Tennessee.
Kathleen was apprehended, the vehicle was secured to be processed for
evidence. Subsequent investigation that included a search of the
suspect vehicle revealed evidence of the robbery, including the firearms
used in the robbery. Deputies further identified suspects of the robbery
and began their search for suspects. The case against Kathleen Thompson
will be presented to the Robertson County Grand Jury.
On
December 27, 2008. Torrie Walton a 21 year of age black male who
resides at 135 Carden Circle in Springfield Tennessee was arrested and
charged with the Armed Robbery of Stuard’s Market in Adams. Walton’s
bond was set at $250,000.00. Walton is being held in the Robertson
County Jail. A court date of March 16, 2009 @ 1;30 pm was set in General
Session Court. Torrie Walton is responsible for other robberies located
in Robertson County as well as the City of Springfield. The additional
cases will be presented to the Robertson County Grand Jury where Walton
will be indicted on several other counts of Armed Robbery.
On
December 29, 2009. The third Suspect, involved in the Robbery of
Stuard’s Market was arrested. This suspect was found to be a juvenile
who was in states custody and out on a furlough for the holidays. The
juvenile suspect was sent to a juvenile lock down facility and is being
held until March 17, 2009 when he is to report to the Juvenile Court of
Robertson County to face charges on the crime of Armed Robbery.
