K-9 Unit



 

"Deputy Donnie Brake & Sandy"

Deputy Donnie Brake is the K-9 Handler for the Robertson County Sheriff Office. Deputy Brake has been with the Sheriff's Office since 2004. 



The Robertson County Sheriff's Office is home to one K-9 unit. Police K-9 dogs, properly trained and handled, give Law Enforcement officers one of the finest non-lethal aids in the prevention and detection of crime.

Properly trained Police Narcotic Dogs are used for the following:

  • Search for illegal drugs in buildings and schools
  • Search for illegal drugs in vehicles
  • Search for illegal drug evidence dropped by criminals in flight.
  • Search for illegal drugs during a search warrant of a residence.


"Sandy"
Sandy

Sandy is the Sheriff's Office newest K-9 dog. Sandy is a 3 year old Golden Retriever. Sandy is trained in several narcotic odors and is used in traffic stops and search warrants. The K-9 is available to surrounding agencies and all county schools.
