Bill Holt

Chief Holt has 43 years of Law Enforcement experience. He served 4 years with the USAF Police, 6 years as a Tennessee State Trooper, 21 years at TBI where he retired as Deputy Director, and has been with the Robertson County Sheriff's Office for over 13 years.

Some of the schools Holt has attended include USAF Air Police Technical School, B.S. in Criminal Justice from MTSU, FBI National Academy Graduate, Tennessee Law Enforcement Academy, THP Basic School and Criminal Investigation School. He has also attended a broad spectrum of specialized schools covering all facets of Law Enforcement during his 43 year career.

Bill Holt is the past president of the Tennessee Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates. He also serves on the Springfield/Robertson County Chamber of Commerce, and is on the Board of Directors for The Robertson County Food Bank as Treasure and the Robertson County United Way. He is a coordinator for the Robertson County Coalition, a Charter Member of FOP Lodge 29, a member of the American Legion Post 45, the New Chapel Mens Club, and the Greenbrier Athletic Club.

Bill had been married for 33 years to his "one and only sweetheart", Wanda Alley Holt, daughter of former Sheriff Denzil and Jean Alley. Holt has one son, a Daughter-in-law, and Granddaughter. He is a member of Greenbrier First Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon.
