Mounted Patrol

The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol Unit is organized to provide, highly trained Deputies and Volunteers to heighten visibility and security in crowded areas and special events, by increasing safety for all citizens, and to provide an effective and efficient resource for locating lost, missing, or wanted persons, and assisting in eradication of marijuana fields in rural areas. The unit also provides Community Oriented Policing Services for Robertson County and act as ambassadors for the Sheriff’s Office improving community relations and communication with its citizens.The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol Unit was created in July of 2012. All of the Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol Horses are privately owned and cared for at the expense of the assigned Deputies. Lt. Richard Head serves as the Commander of the Mounted Patrol Unit.
